Thesis: 99 Names

The comparison between ancient and modern code, separated by a millennium, bares close ties in form, structure and legibility. My interests are in the relationships of marrying the veil and modern language in their form, relationship and meaning. Introducing the QR technology as an art form in its hidden messages through fabrics, breaking the pictorial grid of the material in the process and redefining the symbolic surface of identity and struggle.

99 Names are the attributes of God in the Mulsim faith. I have taken the Godly out of the attribute and made it the arabic feminine to identify the Muslim womem. The threading respsents exposure, vunrablity and fear.
